Spraying
Here I am spraying glaze on one of my most recent oval casseroles. I installed a spray booth in the studio last winter and the booth has been an integral part of my glazing process since. I used to spray outside – which got kinda cold in January! Spraying allows me to get a nice even coat on larger pieces and also allows an “airbrushed” look by subtly overlapping glazes.
I fired the kiln yesterday and plan on unloading 120 new porcelain pieces on Weds. Plan on seeing pictures of the new work here and on my website PlumBottomPottery.com. Til then.
